High-End Travel Trailers the Non-Rich And Famous Can Enjoy

This post was updated on September 24th, 2020

At the end of his show, Robin Leach wished everyone watching, “champagne wishes and caviar dreams.” For those of us that would rather have campground wishes and RV dreams, there are amazing towable and drivable luxury models available that are affordable. In the RV world, comfort and luxury are reachable under the million-dollar price point.

We created our own list of high-end travel trailers, luxury fifth wheels, and elegant motorhomes. We did this by pouring through the best RV manufacturers’ 2020 lineups. To verify our data, we also visited RV dealers and quested through an RV show (as an adolescent at an amusement park).

The Most Luxurious Travel Trailers For 2020

The 2020 models offer four different layouts. Two of them offer queen-size beds and the other two have two twin-size beds in the master bedroom. The dinette and sofa fold out for additional guest sleeping.

What makes this flagship travel trailer of Airstream so luxurious is the attention to the fine details. Third-party components come from brand name vendors, so you know you’re getting the best. Faucets come from Kohler, Countertops are Corian made, and you’ll know that sound quality is from Bose once you hear it.

The handmade cabinets are made from European Beechwood. The seating and accents are made from Ultraleather and the cabinet hardware is imported from the finest makers from Germany. Everything in the coach gives a sophisticated warmth to the interior.

Airstream gives you a 60-inch television on a drop-down televator. The windows, tank monitors, and other controls are all controlled through a central tablet that comes with the RV. As a finishing touch, they even installed a doorbell.

Forest River Cedar Creek Champagne Edition

  • Type: Fifth Wheel
  • Dry weight array: 14,124- 14,429 pounds
  • Length range: 40.11- 41.8 feet
  • Number of floorplans: 3
  • Sleeps: Between 4-6 people
  • Price spectrum: $70,000- $120,000

If the RV is made by Forest River, you know it’s going to be an excellent unit. RV Pro’s Best of Show for 2020 in the High-Quality Fifth Wheel category was awarded to the Cedar Creek Champagne Edition. As you can see from the video, this unit is a dream come true.

Forest River starts out by using the best construction materials they have. Azdel sidewalls, Congoleum vinyl flooring, and other top choice materials. They also add MORryde steps, top quality hardwood maple cabinets, and the best components you would expect from a luxury fifth wheel. Unlike most RVs, the adjustable king-size bed is standard and the queen is optional.

Convenient components like a central vacuum system come standard. You can choose to add a wine refrigerator in the kitchen and/or a small refrigerator in the bedroom too. For those who like to walk around barefoot, you can choose to have the living room and bedroom with Shaw carpeting instead of flooring.

Other options include a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, Splendide washer/dryer, and all of the entertainment center components with all the sources possible. Two of the three models come with an optional outdoor kitchen. What really makes this pull out kitchen high-end is the televator built into it.

Jayco Seismic

  • Type: Toy Hauler
  • Dry weight array: 13,970- 15,915
  • Length range: 41.9- 45.9 feet
  • Number of floorplans: 6
  • Sleeps: Between 6-10
  • Price spectrum: $76,500- $142,000

The Jayco Seismic changes how toy hauler fans think of this type of RV. Most use their toy hauler RVs as a place to rest in between their outdoor ATV/snowmobile fun. This favorite high-end toy hauler brings luxury and comfort to the toy hauler category.

The styling in the RV rivals the most expensive travel trailers and fifth wheels on the market. The kitchen has all of the amenities including one of the biggest two-way refrigerators available. The garage comes pre-wired for a TV, pre-plumbed for a washer/dryer, and has an additional half bathroom making it capable of being its own living space.

For a more home-like feel, you can choose to have either flooring or carpet in the living area of the RV. The shower and bathroom backsplash use decorative stone and glass tile instead of composite plastic. For everybody’s convenience, the fifth wheel toy hauler has an upgraded 10-gallon quick recovery water heater versus the industry-standard six gallons.

The coach is thoroughly insulated and prepared for late season and winter camping with Jayco’s Climate Shield package. If your vacation plans include winter activities, the Seismic can be that mobile log cabin in the woods for you. The 40,000 BTU furnace will keep you so warm, you could shake off the cold before the hot chocolate is ready.

High-End Motorhomes

Regency Ultra Brougham

  • Type: Class B
  • Length: 25.1 feet
  • Chassis: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500XD
  • Engine Type: 6 cylinder diesel
  • Horse Power/Torque: 188 hp @ 3,800 rpm
  • Number of floorplans: 3
  • Sleeps: Between 2-3
  • Price spectrum: $120,000- $176,000

For a company that started in 2019, this Texas-based brand came out of the chute gunning for the “big boys.” The Ultra Brougham (pronounced “braum”) is a luxury Class B that redefines everything you think you know about the classification. This highest quality campervan has elegance and components seen in Class A motorhomes.

This RV comes in three different versions: the front murphy bed, the back full-size bed, and the rear set of twin beds that convert into a king. To keep walk-around space accessible, the full-size bed narrows at the end of the bed. The murphy bed has a small off-door slide out to give a walkway between the bed and the TV cabinet.

A luxury feature unique to this campervan is the exterior storage. Most have one or two bays. This coach has bays along the bottom of both sides of the vehicle and a separate pass-through bay that runs through the back of the RV. You have up to 1,000 cubic feet of storage.

Instead of an all-inclusive wet bath, Regency splits the bathroom. One door leads to the toilet and bathroom sink. The other is a shower that is roomy enough for most adults, and the door locks in place to create privacy in the bedroom.

The best materials are used inside. Corian countertops are used throughout. The best solid wood and vinyl flooring finish the look. They also use stainless steel for the sink and other features in the kitchen.

You’ll find a 6.7 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer installed, which is one of the biggest in this class. The oven is convection instead of gas. The coach’s A/C is an upgraded low profile 15,000 BTU system.

Although it’s long, we recommend you watch the video all the way through. The challenge RV manufacturers have with Class B campervans is finding a place for all of the features. This video focuses on how this motorcoach is the highest quality Class B on the market and points out all of the factory-installed amenities.

With 16 different floorplans, it’s affordable to the widest customer base due to the value and premier chassis options.

The premier floorplans are the luxury level version of the coach. You can choose from the one floorplan that’s built on the Chevy 4500, or the four floorplans that are built on the Ford F450 chassis. Most of them come with a standard queen bed, but the 298KB has a standard king bed.

As a subsidiary of Forest River, they have access to all of the best construction materials that make this RV the best quality lightweight Class C when compared to its competition. The cabinets use strong magnetic locks, so you don’t have to worry about your cabinets becoming loose with age. Fine details like this are only part of what makes this a luxury motorcoach.

The dining area has a rotating table that allows those seated to get out of the booth without disrupting what’s on the table. The countertops are seamless to prevent liquids from going everywhere. They installed an upgraded 15,000 BTU A/C with efficient ducting to cool down the entire coach with one unit.
